U S Heroes Guest of Red Cross at Hershey
Nearly 150 American soldiers from Carlisle General Hospital visited Hershey for a dinner and theatre party hosted by the Hershey Branch of the American Red Cross. The guests enjoyed swimming, dining on the Park Cafe veranda, dancing, and a performance of Within the Law by the Southern Stock Company before returning to Carlisle. The officer in charge praised the soldiers courage and noted some will remain hospitalized while others are convalescent and hope to return to Hershey later this season.
