High wind and cold forced relocation to the old gym for the third Y M C A Star Course. Hendrickson and Rosani performed sleight of hand shadowgraphy and juggling, pleasing about 75 attendees despite a flat floor. The fourth act will feature the Banner Ladies Quartet on February 8.
Last Thursday a class in electricity was organized at the request of twelve men. The course will meet weekly in Mr. C. V. Glynn's office at the factory to learn more about the subject.
An explosion at the home of Misses Sadie and Annie Martin on Caracas avenue wrecked the kitchen stove. The burst water pipe froze overnight and, when the fire was relit, the stove exploded sending fragments through the ceiling. Mr. Harry Keiffer plugged the pipes and a small fire was quickly extinguished.
A musical evening at Derry Presbyterian Church features vocal piano and violin solos plus readings. A silver offering will be taken. Selections include Nightingale Liszt Spring Song Henselt and other pieces performed by Miss Lilian Harris Miss Lottie Conrad Miss Queida Fertig and Mrs Carl Heefner among others.
L. H. McGinnes of Steelton will speak at a Mass meeting next Sunday. The subject is The Boy of To day and the Church of To morrow.
The Hershey Trust Company launches a Christmas Saving Club on Monday January 15. Members pay weekly for fifty weeks to receive total paid in plus 3 percent interest. Classes vary in initial payments from one cent upward with options to reverse payments. Participants are urged to join, with details available by contacting the bank.
