The Executive Committee of Sunday School District No 3 met in Hummelstown on February 8 to organize participation in the Sixth Annual Young People’s Conference in Harrisburg on Feb 29 and March 1. The Lebanon Valley Fish and Game Protective Association sponsors a crow extermination drive offering a cash prize to the person removing the most crows. All birds must be registered with George Copenhaver at the Industrial School. Local shooters Paul Shultz and Oscar Bordner reportedly bag seven crows. Russell Stoner and Ralph Deppen return from Hershey Cuba with their first consignment of Holstein cows. The herd arrived in good condition after a ten day voyage and caused excitement among locals.
