Y M A Membership Nearly Doubled in Hershey Contest
The Hershey Y M A membership drive neared a doubling of the 166 base as two teams led by Murrie and Clark pushed to 140 by Wednesday noon. Seeding and late entries kept the rivalry intense with a final count to be announced at the Wednesday evening meeting.

His First Sleigh Ride
Mr. Robert L. Kimbrough of Harrisburg a representative of the Preferred Underwriters Association enjoyed his first sleigh ride after transacting business at Hershey's. He and Rev. C G Romig traveled by trolley to Hummelstown then to Stoverdale where a livery team drew a Portland sleigh for the outing. Kimbrough, a Tennessee native, noted how snow melts quickly there.

Fifth Birthday Tragedy Fire Kills Verna Dubler
Verna Dubler, a five year old girl from Lawn, died after her dress ignited near a stove while left briefly alone. Her mother found her. Dr. A G Risser attended from Campbelltown but she died about an hour later. Funeral services are planned at Henrys Meeting House near Hershey, arranged by Ray Arnold of Campbelltown.
