The Hershey Trust Company board decided to raise time and savings deposit interest to 4 percent per year starting January 1, 1924. Deposits held six months to under a year will earn 3 percent. The bank promotes a profit sharing plan to encourage saving and new depositors. Officers will meet interested residents for more details.

Rev. O. G. Romig leads a successful evangelistic meeting at Chamber Hill United Brethren Church with help from Evangelist S. E. Rupp Camp Hill. Attendance grows with 10 conversions so far and an enthusiastic 26-voice chorus led by Harles Shuey.
The First U B Church choir and congregants sang carols on Hershey street corners spreading Yuletide spirit. They urged future efforts to expand to three groups and revive the old faith in song as carols trace back to medieval Germany and beyond.

The meat department supplied 1500 pounds of turkeys and chickens to the Christmas Mother at Harrisburg. The dressed meat was displayed before delivery and loaded the lofts of many farmers, under manager Harry Epler’s efficient supervision.

Twenty five Hershey Community farmers gathered at Hershey High School to outline 1924 activities under the Dauphin County Agricultural Extension Association. A.B. Shenk presided and R. L. Gordon of State College spoke on rural life, stressing youth and housewife involvement. seven projects were set for the year including soil tests and demonstrations.
The Hershey Olivers beat Lititz American Legion five 52 to 32 on a Wednesday night contest at the Hershey Men's Club. Key injury to Hank of Lititz opened the door for Hershey to surge ahead in the fast first half.
The Hershey Olivers defeated Ephrata 56 to 27 on the Hershey Men’s Club floor. Stars included Clark Elliott Leithiser Stover Zimmerman and Doremus with multiple points. Next week they face St. Mary’s Club of York, a team that beat the Olivers 39 to 22.
Russell and Yohn and Agnes Wise both of Campbelltown wed by Rev. Allen G. Nye at the First United Brethren Church parsonage on Saturday evening December 22. The couple were unattended and will reside in Campbelltown.
