Leading Citizens of Palmyra Are Arrested
Abraham G. Stauffer and Oscar A. Stauffer were arrested at Palmyra by Deputy U S Marshal J W Snyder on charges of using the mail to defraud. They, with others, operated varied firms and sold instruments claiming to locate hidden treasure. Bail set at 5500 each for the first two. 1500 for Abram S Stauffer for trial in Williamsport on January 8.
