The Young Women's Christian Association plans a real start with Miss Elder as secretary beginning January 16. Miss Hopper, Territorial Secretary, will oversee the district and visit for a week. Headquarters set in the Park Gymnasium with future dining room and dormitories to be built in the new garage, fostering planned activities and growth.
The Farmers Improvement Club held its first winter meeting at the Hershey Volunteer Fire Company. About 35 men attended as D L James was elected president and George Copenhaver secretary. The group aims to improve local farmer conditions and discussed feeding and care of the dairy cow with emphasis on pasture-like feeding year round and home-grown grains.
