Star Course to Return Dinner Boston Novelty Company at Hershey Park
The Boston Novelty Company will present the second Hershey Star Entertainment course at Hershey Park amphitheater on Thursday December 14 with shows starting at 8 pm. Single admission 25 cents, reserved seats 35 cents, course tickets 1.00 with 50 cent seats for season. The company includes Miss Josephine Hills Miss Mabel Mullins and Mr Frank Reynolds offering a musical and literary program with mnemonics and second sight segments.

The Derry Township School Board met at McKinley High School to organize. Albert Shenk was elected president, Christian Meckley vice president, Harry M. Slaughter House and Stockyards Planned at Hershey
Ground was broken Wednesday for a new Hershey slaughter house measuring 70 by 30 feet with tile walls and an asbestos roof. The complex will include stockyards 82 by 60 feet with stables for 40 cattle and work on the yards began last Thursday.

Fire at Hershey Store Damages Fountain Area
Fire at the Hershey Store Friday morning started when a hot soda water tank ignited gasoline and exploded. LE Russell Eschenaur caused the blaze while filling the tank. John Sneath used a fire extinguisher to halt spread. Damage around the fountain totaled about 350 dollars with a cracked mirror and burned woodwork.

Girls From Union Deposit Have Straw Ride
Pleasant surprise awaited the girls from Union Deposit who work in the chocolate factory when they came from work last Tuesday. A straw wagon replaced the usual bus and many rode home aboard it while others regretted missing the ride. The drivers' moving to Annville caused the bus to be unavailable, prompting the spontaneous outing.
