Death of Elder Solomon M. Hummel Minister 72
Reverend Solomon M. Hummel, long a member of the East Pennsylvania Conference United Brethren in Christ, died at his home on South Railroad Street Hummels Town after a period of debility. Born February 2 1839 near Stoverdale he was 72. Funeral held at his home at 10 this morning with many conference ministers present. He served Hershey Derry Church Paradise and did supply work after leaving active pastorate.

Despite rain a large Hershey family gathering occurred at Rocky Springs park Lancaster for the sixth annual reunion. M S Hershey president was away in the West. Afternoon program featured and registration completed. Members departed late. Sunday involved renewing acquaintances at Hershey homesteads across the county. Monday tours by trolley and steam to ancestral burial sites.
