The Hershey National Bank is authorized to start banking operations after May 1 1925, taking over the Hershey Trust Company’s commercial banking activities. It will be linked to the Federal Reserve with capital stock of 125000 dollars and a 25000 dollar surplus. The Hershey Trust Company holds 125000 dollars in capital, with surplus and profits totaling over 526k, and an appraised stock value around 300 dollars per share. Shareholders may swap into the new bank at half their Hershey Trust shares up to ten shares each, with remaining shares open to others who apply.

A scholastic track and field meet between Hershey High School and Hershey Industrial School is set for Saturday at 1 30 pm at Hershey Park Athletic Field. A monkey jumped through a window at the Her shey Chocolate Company near midnight Tuesday. After a chase, Fat Horstick subdued the intruder, who was placed in a locker then befriended by Fat with chocolate. The animal, wearing a neck band, likely belongs to the Sheesley Shows and may stay until its owner reclaims it or it goes to the Hershey Zoo.

Hershey High School won the 1924 25 Scholastic Basketball Championship of Dauphin County at a Dauphin County Scholastic Athletic Committee meeting in Harrisburg. Hershey High School held a basketball banquet last Thursday with both boys and girls honored equally. Letters were awarded to fourteen players, seven boys and seven girls, and Julio Purcell was elected to lead the 1925 26 team. Alterations Underway at Holy Trinity Church Basemen
Plans completed and work begun to renovate and beautify the basement of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. The space serves the Standay School first and beginn ers departments and church meetings. A concrete floor will replace the old wood floor and be covered with heavy linoleum. Walls and woodwork are being painted to brighten the area for Sunday School children.
