New committees list chairmen and members for districts including Chocolate Avenue West and East, Cocoa Avenue, Caracas Avenue, Aretha Street, Park Avenue and Zoo, Spring Creek, Trinidad Avenue, Derry Church, Farms, and more. Secretary Dubois urged immediate district work and to notify if a chairmanship cannot be filled.

Easter Vesper at Y M C A and school club events
Easter vesper service at the Y M C A on Friday April 21 featured Rev. Mr. Lembaugh delivering the Easter message. The High School Club hosted a supper for High School boys on Wednesday April 19 with a long list of attendees and a short hike afterward. The gym class plans a closing celebration Monday May 1 and the Loyalty and Sunshine Club egg hunt was postponed to Saturday April 20 due to measles.

A crew of 22 workers completes a planting scheme at Highland Park, covering 5 400 shrubs and evergreens along driveways. Junior Club Hikers Explore Muddy Stoverdale Cave
Friday afternoon eight Junior members of the Men’s Club led by W. W. Leibfried and John Allen hiked to Stoverdale Cave several miles southwest of Hummelstown. The spring trip found the cave muddy but filled with interesting rock formations. a planned round trip was cut short when they had to return by car from Hummelstown. Swatara opens New Movement Bible Class building
The New Movement Bible Class Building at Swatara will be dedicated May 28 with Rev Dr Swallow delivering the afternoon sermon at two o'clock and Senator Beidlman giving an evening lecture on good citizenship. George H Seiler, building committee chair, invited M S Hershey who backs the project due to local workers using the facility. The 30 by 50 foot structure with basement seats 165, has a furnace and electric lights, costing 2600 dollars with 1200 paid. about 500 to 600 foreigners live nearby and attendance has grown from 850 in the waiting room of the railroad station to a larger space in the post office and beyond.

Death of Simon Baker in Hummedlstown at age 28
Simon Baker died at Hummedlstown on Monday after a short illness from typhoid fever aged 28. He married Miss Susan Look near Blue Neb at Christmas. Survived by his wife and his parents in Meemers town and siblings. Funeral at home followed by burial in Shoop's Church Cemetery at noon.

Firemen's Fair Preparations Advance In Lebanon Valley
Work is steadily progressing on the firemen's fair to be held May 8 to 13. The Hershey Press Building second floor is being converted into a large booth area. Special accommodations will allow dancers with room for a thousand. Interest in the sale grows daily as plans develop. It promises to be the big May event drawing crowds from the Lebanon Valley.
