Community Hershey Day to Feature Student Speaker
Daniel A. Kercher of 134 West Chocolate Avenue will represent Hershey youth as guest speaker at the ninth annual M. S. Hershey Day. He will deliver the tribute to the founder at two o'clock in the Hershey Community Theatre, following his valedictorian status at Hershey Junior College and current enrollment at Franklin and Marshall College.

The Hershey Volunteer Fire Company invites citizens to a dedication ceremony for its new modern emergency and rescue truck. The Oct. 18 event at 8 p.m. features a display at the fire house, a Columbus Boychoir concert, and a tribute address by Kercher. Rotary leaders host, with no admission.
