Bank Tellers Adopt New Deposit Machines at Hershey Bank
Mrs Betty Dunkleberger and Frances Garman began using four new teller deposit machines at Hershey National Bank. The machines print and imprint depositor and bank records simultaneously, speeding service and reducing errors. Receipts are printed for customers and leather folders replace handwritten passbooks. The National Cash Register Company supplied the devices and staff trained prior to use.

PTA To Present Pre District Forensic Program at High School
Derry Township PTA will host its annual pre District Forensic program in the high school auditorium Monday March 21 at 7 30 p m. A one hundred voice chorus with new robes will perform contest numbers and ensembles include the Mixed Quartet Clarinet Quartet and Boys Quartet. Helen Grubb bass clarinet soloist will perform. Carrie M Lady Senior Speaking Contest winners will present selections. Participants include Jean Breneman Faye Eshleman Don Ebersole Carl ton Hoffer Arthur Mentzer Dan Kercher Karl Moyer Arthur Whiteman Suzanna Harkcom Ruth Miller Marilyn King and Robert Seltzer with accompanists Helen Grubb Karl Moyer Faye Eshleman.

Levi Leonard Enjoys Life With Family In Palmyra
Levi Leonard a Hershey Chocolates retiree from the Plow Room lives in Palmyra with his wife Carrie Lebo. They have sixteen grandchildren and six sons plus several daughters. Leonard came to Hershey in 1924 after farming in Perry and Lebanon Valleys and a stint in Annville.

Hershey High Duo Chosen for All-State Chorus Festival
Hershey High School honors two musicians Arthur Mentzer as tenor and Karl Moyer as accompanist for the All-State School Chorus Festival at Minersville. Mentzer earned selection from Southern District auditions in February at New Bloomfield. Moyer, chosen by Lafayette College Choir director John Raymond, will also serve as organist and present organ recitals prior to concerts.
