The Red Cross calls for qualified swimmers to assist instructor Dick Yingling in free Learn-to-Swim classes at the park pool for Hershey and Hummelstown youngsters. The course runs July 6 to July 16 from ten to eleven a.m. daily.

Henry Williams of Berkleigh Country Club Kutztown spun a sub par 141 for 36 holes to win the 38th Pennsylvania Open at Hershey Country Club Williams earned 750 dollars for his first title in seven tries Williams finished five under par two strokes ahead of Bo Winninger who did not defend Johnny Weitzel tied with Stan Dudlas for third and shared third and fourth prize money of 250 dollars Weitzel had a 74 in the morning and a 71 in the afternoon

Locker Boy Leon Hunter Dies After Long Hershey Service
Funeral services were held for Leon Hunter a longtime locker boy at Hershey Country Club since 1947 who died Tuesday June 1 at Polyclinic Hospital Harrisburg. Burial followed in William Howard Day Cemetery Harrisburg. Hunter previously served as locker boy at Hershey Park Golf Club and worked for the Hotel Hershey.
