Midshipman John E. Reisinger to Graduate From Naval Academy
John E. Reisinger son of Mr and Mrs John O Fosnacht of 157 West Chocolate Avenue will graduate from the U S Naval Academy at Annapolis Md with a Bachelor of Science and be commissioned ensign in the U S Navy. A Hershey High School graduate in 1949 he attended Hershey Junior College before entering Annapolis and served as midshipman lieutenant junior grade during his senior year and as platoon commander in the fall. He also was business manager for the Academy music clubs and quartet activities.

St Joan School Graduates 37 Eighth Graders
Thirty seven students of St Joan of Arc Parochial School received diplomas at Highth Grade transfer exercises held at three o'clock Sunday afternoon in the school auditorium. Rev Charles Murray of St Catherine La boure Church, Harrisburg, gave the May devotions and sermon. Arthur Graham was valedictorian and Gabrielle Eckenroth salutatorian. Rev Anthony J Mayan delivered a brief sermon and presented awards to Arthur Graham, Gabrielle Eckenroth, Michael Tushup, and Lawrence Butler.

All Star Hockey Game Set For Hershey Arena
Hershey hosts the American Hockey League first All Star game on October 27 with Murray Henderson directing the squad from Hershey Bears against Cleveland Calder Cup champions. Bears trio George Sullivan Dane Fisher and Lorne Ferguson earn first and second team berths as the league trims 1954-55 schedule to 64 games and adopts travel and gate-receipt plans for financial relief.

Milton Hershey School to Award Diplomas in Commencement
Ninety seven Milton Hershey School seniors will receive high school diplomas at Commencement in the Hershey Community Theater. Speakers include Dr. J C Warner of Carnegie Tech. student speakers Ronald Bierman and Richard Reed. with a class song by Conrad Tangerich and John Walden. Thirty percent plan college, three enlist, most have jobs. Twenty one awards and Hershey Junior College scholarships will be handed out at Class Day. Baccalaureate service Sunday features Rev J Herbert Miller. Dr Warner, longtime Carnegie chemist, directed wartime plutonium work and advised the Atomic Energy Commission.

The Hershey Rose Garden prepares bloom with 25 new varieties and thousands of plants total. A memorial plot honors the late community founder, moved from High Point to a 21 acre site with a bronze marker and white picket fence from the Eisenhower birthday decorations. The garden now totals about 40 000 plants in over 900 varieties.
