Promoted to Sergeant Wilhite in Korea Service
Robert L. Wilhite from Hershey, a Hershey Chocolate Corp. employee and Hershey High School graduate, has been promoted to sergeant in the First Marine Air Wing, Korea. He enlisted February 1952, trained at Parris Island, served fifteen months at Cherry Point, and received his current assignment in October 1953. He is married to Helen Weaver and they have a four month old son, Robert Jr., living with her parents in Palmyra Route 1 awaiting his return.

Pfc Marino J Pichini Joins Third Division in Korea
Pfc Marino J Pichini of 609 West Chocolate Avenue serves in Korea with the Third Infantry Division known as The Rock of the Marne. The unit, famed in the Iron Triangle and Outpost Harry battles, trains as part of the UN security force on the Korean peninsula. Pichini has been in Korea nine months and previously served with the 40th Infantry.

Major Thomas F. Martin received praise from Governor John S. Fine and Rt. Rev. Msgr. John A. Maguire at a Park Golf Club dinner marking forty years with the Pennsylvania State Police and the Distinguished Service Medal from the American Legion. About 260 attended as Jimmy Martin o Hershey and Ray Divinney performed. a magic act entertained and a former trooper presented Martin with his traveling shoe from his mount Star.

Retirement toast for Hershey official John Seitzinger
Last Thursday evening honored Hershey Chocolate Corpora tion credit manager John Seitzinger on his 65th birthday and planned retirement. About 250 friends and relatives attended a Palmyra American Legion dinner dance with gifts, music, and tributes from colleagues and family. Seitzinger, a 1912 recruit to Hershey, will retire at end of July. guests included his wife, sons, siblings, and extended Seitzinger family with performances by local artists.
