Pennsylvania Dutch Days Scheduled in Hershey August 22 26
The 4th annual Original Pennsylvania Dutch Days will run August 22 to 26 in Hershey Park. Highlights include a free Pennsylvania State Police Field Exhibit at Hershey Stadium August 23 at 2 p.m. with no admission charge, plus daily handcraft demonstrations in the Sports Arena, historic quilts, apple butter boiling, flax work, blacksmithing, and rural life displays.

Hershey Drum and Bugle Corps Contest Draws Record Crowd
The 12th annual Hershey Invitation Senior Drum and Bugle Corps Contest drew 12,000 at Hershey Stadium. Yankee Rebels of Baltimore won with 87.80 points, Bucaneers of Reading second at 87.066, Pittsburgh Rockets third at 86.566, Hurricanes of Sheldon well placed, Black Knights of Salamanca fifth. Belles of St Marys earned a trophy for exhibition. Hershey Chocolatiers also performed. Chief judge was Robert Brady with eight judges from the region.
