Harry Gordon and Son Retire From Hershey Chocolate Plant
The only father and son team among Hershey retirees are John H. and Harry L. Gordon of Palmyra. Harry retired at 65 after 56 years with Hershey. his father left February 1, 1941, after 31 years. The elder Gordon, born June 27, 1865, recalls his first Hershey job clearing land for the factory.

Christmas Music Festival Slated By Derry Township Students
The annual Christmas music festival by Derry Township public school students will be held Thursday at 7 30 p m in Hershey Community Theater with performances by school vocal and instrumental groups A recital by Karl Meyer opening the program will be followed by greetings from Dr Y H Fenstermacher dean of Hershey Junior College and introductions of brass ensemble mixed quartet and octet members including Kenneth Lehman Lee Moyer James Gruber Arthur Mentzer Doris Hein Fay Frysinger George Yoder William Nixon Carlton Hoffer Daniel De Long and Roger Ferry.
