51 Year Hershey Veteran Miss Ella Kreider Retires
Miss Ella Kreider a longtime Hershey Chocolate wrapping worker retires after 51 years of service dating from May 6 1905. She began at the factory in 1905 and helped wrap products through the years living in Palmyra with her family and joining longtime colleague D Frank Garman in reaching fifty years in May 1955.

At Mene rial Field playground last Thursday 57 hat designers aged school age showcased 57 hat varieties. About 150 people watched judges Mrs. Robert Smith Mrs. Matthew Prang and Mrs. Charles Hand award prizes to numerous entrants led by Teeny Ting Beth Jacques and Elaine Seiverling. The annual playground pet show was today and a rain date is set for next Friday.

Special registration traveling registrars will sit at the Hershey and Hummels towns fire houses on August 29 from six to nine p.m. to register voters for the upcoming election. Required registrants include address changers, 21-year-olds since the last period, those who failed to vote in the past two years, and women who changed names by marriage. No party changes. Naturalized citizens must bring papers. Last day to register September 17. Dauphin County Courthouse Registration Bureau hours listed: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
