Hershey reorganizes leadership after Staples death
Administrative changes at four Hershey bodies follow the July 23 death of Percy A. Staples. D. Paul Witmer becomes Chairman of the Milton Hershey School Board. John B. Sollenberger rises to Hershey Trust Company President. J. J. Gallagher is named Hershey Chocolate Corporation Chairman. Samuel F. Hinkle is appointed Hershey Chocolate Corporation President. Hershey Family Reunited After Andrea Doria Sinking
The Gramigni family of Hershey was reunited after the Andrea Doria collision near Nantucket. Mrs Gramigni was rescued by the Stockholm and later by the French liner Ile de France, while Thomas Dolores and Ottivo Gramigni were rescued earlier from the sinking ship. They lost luggage clothing cash and keepsakes but survived a perilous voyage and awaited further news.
