Pennsylvania Dutch Days Food Delights At Hershey Park
The ninth annual Pennsylvania Dutch Days runs August 22 to 25 at Hershey Park. Derry Presbyterian Church and Hershey Park Golf Club host Old World dishes including cottage cheese, chow chow, ham and beans, schnitz and knepp, and desserts led by Montgomery pie. Dining rooms operate Thursday to Sunday with church volunteers serving meals and a chicken corn soup sale by Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren.

Hershey Dell to Host Third Outdoor Music Concert
Hershey Community Club announces a third outdoor music event at the Dell of the Rock Garden in Hotel Hershey on Thursday August 8 from eight to ten p m. Admission is free with parking along the road between the west end of Hotel Hershey and summer cottages. Attendees should bring a chair pillow or blanket and in case of rain the hi fi program moves to Milton Hershey Junior Senior High School.

Retired Joseph Stewart Keeps Busy with Farming
Joseph Stewart retired from Hershey Chocolate Corporation in 1919 after a long stint in the Moulding Department. He emigrated from Ireland as a youth and later settled in Hershey with Esther Smith of Lancaster, marrying in 1919. They have three sons and two daughters. He manages six lots and assists townspeople, continuing a life rooted in farming and service.
