Hershey Easter Seal Campaign Totals Rise in 1957 Drive

Contributions for the Easter Seal Sale reached 615.25 with 363 donors supporting the Hershey drive led by Mrs. John Beck. The Tri County Crippled Children's Association reports returns lagging slightly behind 1956 when Hershey residents gave 880.95.

Sunrise Service in Hershey Rose Garden

The Hershey Ministerial Association announces an Easter sunrise service at 5 15 a m in the Hershey Rose Garden with Rev J R MacDonald delivering a brief sermon. Cyril Little soprano soloist, Robert W Smith accompanist, Milton Hershey School Glee Club, and a brass ensemble perform sacred music. In bad weather the service moves to First Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Cancer Drive Set For Wed In Hershey

On Wednesday April 24 Hershey volunteers will conduct a door to door campaign from six to eight p m to raise funds for the national cancer program. Eighty nine workers will canvass areas with some homes visited in the afternoon. The 1957 drive is led by Mrs Reuel D Ryman with Walter Douglas assisting.

Hershey Park Season Opens on April 28

Hershey Park prepares for a new picnic season as opening day falls on April 28 marked by plans for school groups to visit the park the Chocolate Corporation plant and the Hershey Museum during May and June.

Tulip Festival Opens Hershey Gardens in 1957 Season

Hershey Gardens reopens Saturday April 27 marking the 1957 season with daily hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Free admission. The event kicks off the tulip festival announced by Harry L. Erdman chief horticulturist for the Hershey Estates. Continued on Page Two.
