Death confirmed for Roger McCown after years missing
Skeletal remains found at Schumann Ranch north of New Braunfels have been identified as Roger McCown through DNA testing by the Bexar County Medical Examiner. McCown disappeared in September 1999 after a weeks long search by sheriff's deputies and volunteers. No trauma or foul play was found. illness or exposure may have caused his death.

Funeral set for bomb victim Timothy Gauna
A public service is scheduled for Timothy Gauna, 21, a Navy sailor killed in the USS Cole bombing. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of God in Ennis. Posthumous medals, including a Purple Heart and a life saving medal, are to be presented to Gauna’s mother, Sarah Gauna of Rice. Seventeen sailors died and 39 were injured in the blast, now viewed as a self-inflicted attack.
