Bulverde Woman Finalist for National Jefferson Award
Bulverde resident Betty Baker, now in Comal County since 1977, is one of 15 nationwide finalists for the Jefferson Award for Community Service. Local March winner, Baker started the Bulverde Bunton newsletter, helped form a community theater, and supported water awareness through the Citizens Task Force on Water, stressing volunteers keep rural areas thriving. She credits neighbors and group effort over individual glory.
