Tel Aviv AP reports David Ben-Gurion died at 11 a.m. local time at 87 after a cerebral hemorrhage. He led Israel in 1948 and 1956 wars, retired in 1970, and planned a history of Israel’s early years. He will lie in state at the Knesset before a state funeral.
