Second Wool Sales At Heppner Shows Gains In Price
The second wool sale at Heppner yesterday saw over 600000 pounds change hands, with 265531 pounds at the Woolgrowers warehouse and 350000 at Heppner Co. J M Hagen topped the market at 16 45, E Miller's lot 15, J C Kirk 15, Oscar Schafer 15 54, and T J Matlock 53g. The lowest price was 17g and the overall average 14 g cents per pound, half a cent higher than the first sale. Eleven buyers were present. About 1000000 pounds may be offered at the next sale on June 23.
