Withdrawal plans for Cascade Blue Mountain reserves face stockmen push
The Prineville Journal notes a probable permanent Bride Mountain withdrawal with a forest recurve and a doubled three mile stockmen zone around Cascade reserve. Judge Biggs, returning from the east, may press Washington for cattlemen favored terms as stock interests seek an extended limit for summer range. The move aligns with reserve rules if the limit is doubled and may become permanent to aid cattle growers and stock industries.

The corpse, buried in sand for about nine and a half months, is unidentifiable except for a gray beard, with some believing it to be a stage driver missing three months prior.
