Overlooked Point On Dams Cited By Galesburg Attorney
A Galesburg attorney, wishing anonymity, submits a letter arguing that water flowing level over a dam removes obstruction, implying the Henry dam did not cause flood-like effects this year. He recalls a mill dam case with engineer John J. Wallace and cites Peoria Republican events including a Sept 4 convention with speakers such as Shelby M. Cullom and Elihu Root, plus a half fare rail rate for attendees. A brief medical ad for incontinence treatment ends the piece.
