Henkins Anderson Brown Families Hold 1915 Picnic Reunion
In Henry Illinois area the Henkins Anderson and Brown clans held their annual picnic at Walnut Grove four miles above Henry. A program included recitations by Miss Eileen Kelly and piano by Ethel Winship. The 117 attendees included many extended family members from Keota Iowa, Park Rapids Minnesota, Tiskilwa Illinois, and surrounding towns. Next year’s reunion set for Keota with a secondary gathering in Henry the first Saturday in August.

Dentorest hosts a silver medal contest at Henry Opera House next Friday evening September 16 at 8 oclock. Program includes song America scripture reading violin solo by John Hardin Hall, contestants Robert Steele Henry Hoskins Frances Lingreen George Deitsch Raymond Saaffer Milford Harney Earl Hubbell Ivan Helper, vocal solo Mrs Lucas, reading Mrs Russell Tomlinson. Admission 25 cents adults 10 cents under 16. Mrs Tomlinson, a longtime neighbor, will read the grand diamond winning selection.

Funeral of Harry S Rollins Held in Henry Cemetery
The body of Harry S Rollins 56 a farmer and stock raiser from Shirley Township was brought from Bloomington to Henry Cemetery for interment in the family lot. Pallbearers included W P Riley Walter Had wett Samuel Barnes C L Hodge R A Jolly and Ed Lundberg with funeral directors and local undertakers aiding in the service.
