A Canyon Wedding Unites Winnie Anderson and Pat Thompson
Miss Winnie Anderson and Mr Pat Thompson were married at the bride’s parents home three miles northwest of Canyon Texas at eight o’clock with Rev J J Hutchison officiating. The ceremony was followed by a three course dinner and generous gifts. The bride is the elder daughter of Mr and Mrs Jesse P Anderson, recently from Henry Alabama, and Mr Thompson runs a Canyon plumbing business. Local firms Russ Bros and Kuss Bros expand their crafts with new blacksmith facilities and electric-powered equipment. A council ordinance directs underground wiring in a central district, and Drs Coggeshall and Cromwell plan a 12-room hospital on the Niece corner, aimed to serve the Illinois valley.

Mrs Amanda DeVore aged 82 was found dead in bed on Sunday morning at the Dorff home in Illinois. Coroner called for inquest with verdict death unknown possibly old age. Survived by two children Mrs Albert Dorff and Mrs C E Ricketts. Funeral held Monday at the Dorff home with burial at Delavan beside her husband. Card of Thanks from the Dorff and Ricketts families.
