Pretty wedding unites Velma Rowe and Charles Bourdette

Miss Velma Rowe daughter of Mrs. Roger T Rowe became the bride of Charles Bourdette in a Monday evening ceremony at 8 o'clock officiated by Rev M B Van Leer. The couple were attended only by close relatives and a small Ka ntalkenut club attendance. After a brief reception a two course dinner followed at the home decorated with autumn leaves. The bride a Henry High School 1911 graduate who worked as a J Watercott saleslady is active in the Kantalkenut club. The groom well regarded for his character plans an indefinite visit to Iowa with relatives before making the bride's mother's home their base. The Republican extends heartfelt congratulations.

The concrete motor boat Concrete built by Walter N. Dowsey Iron River Michigan completed a navy recruiting tour from Pittsburgh along the Ohio Mississippi Illinois canal to Chicago. It was presented to the United States Naval Reserves at Chicago in October 1917 and will be tied up there pending further plans.
