The Sixteenth District Federation of Women's Clubs met in Princeton on a Tuesday with Mrs T L Jones presiding as president after a jealous session. The town has an active club of bright ambitious women, and joining the district federation was seen as advantageous. The federation includes Henry, Lacon, Peoria, Havana, Delavan and others, with capable musical and literary talent. Mr Jones traveled to Princeton and returned well pleased with the cordial reception and the federation’s performance.

Sudden Death After Critical Operation Attempt
Mrs Patrick Harney died from two deep internal hemorrhages after doctors deemed surgery the only chance. Dr Forrest, Dr Jones, and Cromwell advised an operation but she died before it could be performed. Mia Harvey, née Maggie Dwyer, 41, wife of Patrick Harvey, left a husband, three children, three brothers and a sister. Funeral was Tuesday at 10 am at St Joseph's Church Reverbury, with interment at St Patrick's Cemetery.

Arrival of Rt Rev Taylor at St Johns for parish meeting
The Rt Rev Frederick W. Taylor of Quincy arrived by mid day train from Chicago and stayed until Monday morning at the new rectory hosted by Mrs Gorter. Vestry met informally at Mr C R Jones' home to discuss assuming the rectory debt. Sunday services were well attended with a catechism address at Sunday school and sermons on Render unto Caesar and on heavenly citizenship emphasising duties to God and state.
