Obituary: Magnolia resident passes at home
Henry resident, long invalid, died at his North Street home on Monday evening. He had spent winter in Florida with wife and son and wife, improving before a sudden decline last week. Funeral by Rev. J. E. Mercer was held today in Magnolia with services to follow next week.

Fourth of July Meeting Plans Fundraising and Entertainment
At the Fourth of July meeting the finance committee reported a partial canvass and about half the funds raised. Speakers committee secured Lieutenant Governor Barrett O'Hara as speaker. Music, field sports, ball games, fireworks and dancing planned with ice water and shade in the parks. Committees for other amusements are working and will report as attractions are secured.

Car Crash Wrecks Barbed Wire Fence Injures Men
Noah and C A Thompson brothers at Mardeilles were learning to drive last Sunday afternoon when their new auto swerved and struck a barb wire fence. Wires pierced the windshield and severely cut the men at the shoulders and neck as a post was uprooted and the car halted.
