Minnie Adah Bush died after a lingering illness of Bright's disease. A coroner's inquest found she died from a double pyosalpinx with acute nephritis as the terminal event. Postmortem results and testimony supported the diagnosis. her funeral was held in Henry with pallbearers named and burial in Henry cemetery.

Henry High School 28th Commencement at Opera House
The 28th annual Henry High School commencement will be held at the Opera House on Friday evening June 2. Eighteen graduates, seven boys and eleven girls, will receive diplomas. The program includes music, an invocation by Rev. D S McCown, a quartet, an address by Rev H B Gough, and diplomas presented by Dr. R S Bayne. An admission fee of 10 cents will be charged.

Henry Treudt Hennepin Businessman Dies at 74
Henry Treudt longtime Hennepin barber undertaker and Odd Fellow died at home Sunday night May 22 at age 72 after a three week battle with diabetes. Born in St Louis he settled in Hennepin in 1861 and built a 35 year career shaping the town’s business life. Funeral services were held at the I O O F Opera House with Odd Fellows and Rebecca lodge participation. He leaves a wife three daughters four brothers three sisters. Local officials and friends attended as educators and neighbors recall his contributions to the community. Walter Paxson named incoming principal of Hennepin High School for the coming year.

A sociable at Sandy M. E. church drew a large crowd despite muddy roads. After expenses, the group raised 23 for church improvements. Committees from several churches and the W C T U plan a Fourth of July celebration. Evans Grange remains prosperous with 28 new members and plans the Fall Fair. Gilbert Ball toured from Eureka by car visiting Carruthers family. Venona Union Telephone held its annual meeting and elected officers. Wm McAdams reported the loss of a horse. William Griffin visited a brother near Ancona.
