Mrs Johannon McGraw Harney born July 1832 in Pallas Ireland died March 18 1902 at her Henry Indiana home in her 70th year. She married Edmund Harney January 18 1855 and had six children. Funeral held March 20 at St Josephs church Henry with large attendance. Burial in family cemetery. Her life noted for kindness cheer Catholic faith and ready help to neighbors.

John N Stockton died in Peoria on Saturday March 22 1992 from intestinal distress after consuming a large number of oranges. He worked as a teamster for E Bros and reportedly ate 20 to 21 oranges on Friday causing severe illness. medical aid arrived too late. Chauncey W. Barnes born 1814 in Hampden County Mass. died March 23 1902 at age 88 in Henry cemetery Henry Illinois. He moved west in 1886 settled in Whitefield bought his farm where he died leaving seven children including George M Chauncey C and Charles L. Barnes. A devout Christian known for honesty and kindness his funeral was held at the Christian church in Eureka with Elder N S Haynes delivering the sermon.

Alphonso H Scott Dies at Soldier Home in Quincy
Alphonso Harrison Scott born 1841 near Oquawka Henderson county lived in Henry before the Civil War. He served in Co G 47th Illinois Vol Infantry, discharged 1862, re enlisted 1864 in Artillery, served to war end, later lived in St Louis Reneca Peoria and finally at the Soldiers and Sailors Home Quincy. He married Mary Ann McGrath in 1864 and had five children, four living. Funeral held last Monday at the home in Quincy. relatives attended from Henry St Paul Missouri Kankakee and Salous. Would have been 61 on July 1902.
