Rev John F Lockney dies at 54 in Quincy Mass
Longtime Peoria Diocese missionary Rev John F Lockney died in Quincy Massachusetts aged 54 after a career spanning Rock Island Banville and Greater Boston. He was ordained in 1884, served 31 years as a missionary, and leaves two sisters and a brother.

Death of Calvin Stowell in Boise Idaho noted
Long time Marshall county resident Calvin Stowell died at the Boise home of his daughter Mrs B O Sigsoh after a life spent on northern Peoria farm. Born 1836 in Bettsburg New York he served one term in the Illinois General Assembly and left a large family including five daughters and two sisters. His remains will be brought to Speer for burial beside his brothers in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
