The juvenile art club gathered Thursday afternoon at Miss Ryan's house. Members worked on quilt blocks and Apache bead work, played games, and shared candy. Mary Stephens withdraws resignation to teach seventh and eighth grades, while Rose Travis decides not to teach next year.

Commencement Exercises at Henry Township High School
The Henry township high school held its commencement at the Henry Opera House last Thursday. The 1918 graduates processed in as juniors carried arches in khaki and old blue. Prof. C. M. Sanford spoke after remarks by Rev. G. E Tilton and others. The program included readings, music, and a benediction, with diplomas awarded by Clifford Hawsmere and the school board president.

First National Bank Building Nearing Occupancy
The new First National Bank building at Edward and Second streets nears completion with a large 24 by 72 foot room housing Segraves drug store and a full basement. The lobby connects to the drug store and opens at 6 a.m. The second floor holds offices for Dr R S Bayne T C Waterous and O H Davis with two unoccupied rooms and a directors’ room. A rear vault, book vault, and a two room coupon area with hidden lighting and private consultation rooms complete the banking complex. The marble interiors use Alabama and Tennessee marble by the Grant Marble Co. of Milwaukee and cabinet work by Friedle, described as a monument to the bank directors.
