Canal toll debate ends with partial reduction and new office

A Wednesday meeting of the Ganal-Commmissioners discussed tolls with interested parties. They argued current rates exceed canal charges and state funding gaps. Resolutions cut Jockage tolls to 1 3/4 cents per ton after June 1 and amended Henry lock tariffs with minimum charges and tonnage limits.
