Old Settlers Reunion at Lacon Delights Marshall County
The Marshall County Old Settlers Association held its annual picnic in Lacon court house yard with a vocal glee club, prayer, and speeches by Henry A. Ford, Dr. Robert Boal, and others. Attendees from across the region heard memories of pioneer days, early settlements, and the Blackhawk era, with later remarks on roads, railroads, and population growth.
