A respected woman about 65 died suddenly during a Saturday event. She was a sister of Mrs. J D McVicker and attended by family at her funeral in Whitefield Center cemetery. Her passing is a bitter bereavement to her husband children and friends.

Death of Mary L. Boice and Henry burial moveme
Mary L. Boice died February 22 1910 at her home in Guyserville Cal after a long illness. Her ashes were cremated in Oakland and later interred in Henry Illinois beside her parents and sister. Grace Harwood accompanied the ashes to Illinois and attended the burial with other relatives and local residents. A modest service was held at the cemetery led by Rev R L Vivian with hymns. A fund to place a monument or tablet on her grave has begun with donations from former pupils.
