Death by own action found in Bureau clubhouse
A man unknown to local residents was found dead in the old Bureau club house on Alba Miller’s premises near Bureau in Leepertown. Carmi Forbes discovered tracks leading into but not from the building, and the body lay on a cot with self-inflicted gunshot wound to the forehead. The deceased is described as about 25, with light hair and a sandy complexion. no identification found. The body was found in a frozen pool of blood, suggesting the shooting occurred earlier that morning December 2. The Princeton Tribune reported the incident.

Sudden Death Of Thos W Bobby Strikes Local Community
Thomas W Bobby of Western Avenue died after a stroke of apoplexy suffered Friday evening. Born in 1849 in London, he came to the U S at seventeen, married Isabella Robinson in 1878, and lived in Illinois and Iowa before settling in Henry, Iowa. Survived by wife and five children, his funeral was held at the Presbyterian church with Masonic and Oriental Consistory presence. Interment followed in Henry cemetery.
