Patwa m County Institute to Hold Farmers Feast at Magnolia
The Patwan County Institute will hold a two day farmers feast at Magnolia on December 22 and 28 1910. Morning sessions feature reports from farmers clubs and talks by Prof Fraser and J H Wirthing from the Anti Saloon League with topics on milk production and county option from a financial stand point. Friday sessions include earth roads maintenance and the necessity of live stock in farming with Mr Peters and a piano recital by Mrs Swindiler. A premium list awards ten ears of corn and various livestock and household items to exhibitors.

City Council Decides Licenses and Bills at December Meeting

Cottage Fire Destroys Miss Mary Clark Home on Deacon Hill
A rapid blaze at Miss Mary Clark's seven room cottage near Deacon Hill destroyed the interior after dawn on Monday. The fire, fed by a soft coal stove and wind from the northeast, left the house adrift of contents though neighboring properties were saved. Clark plans to rebuild, aided by neighbors and local help as she shelters with relatives.

The home of Ben Bussell in Steuben township west of Sparland burned to the ground on a windy day last week after a roof fire could not be arrested. Neighbors rallied to help as contents were mostly saved though cellars flooded. the property was insured but the amount was unavailable. The Benn family moved in with a brother while other arrangements are made.
