Mary L Curtis daughter of Joseph and Mrs Curtis was born at Mt Palatine April 4 1863. She married F E Powell March 4 1876 and died April 20 1914 from apoplexy. Funeral held at home April 24 led by Rev EFR Egerton. Daughters Nell and Darlene were in California and returned for the service. Funeral for Fred Wasmer in Toluca Church
Fred Wasmer died in an April 23, 1914 accident near Varna. He was son of John and Eva Wasmer, a Hopewell Township resident, active in Toluca Christian Church. The funeral service honored his character as the community mourned the loss of their only son with casket bearers and an Ax B. Smith cemetery interment.
