The missive narrates letters from A. O. Loostey in China praising Mission work, church schools, and Christian fellowship, alongside a Henry Township Sunday School convention program with talks, music, medals, and a large pastoral turnout, plus notices on local societies, sales, and community events.
C. R. Runnells of Peoria spent Sunday in Henry as guest of Mr and Mrs I. P. Bush. He attended Presbyterian church services in the forenoon and the M. E. church in the evening. His son Harry also visited in the forenoon and played violin in Peoria that evening at a city church.

An advertisement claims a “Mystic Cure” for rheumatism and neuralgia can cure in one to three days. It states the remedy acts on the system, removes the cause, and makes the disease disappear after the first dose. Prices are 75 cents and one dollar, sold by J. B. and F. A. Powell.
The Chautauquans met at Miss Stella Motter's residence on Saturday evening with strong attendance and a pleasing program. Eva Beattie presented a paper on the Southern Black Forest of Germany, describing scenery and legends, followed by Emma Panzer’s remarks on German Philistine traits and a Beattie piano solo. Dr DuFour discussed women in German life, noting historic figures and family roles, then Mr Keeler of Galesburg spoke on Berlin before refreshments and social time. The Circle will meet again Friday evening with Miss Tullis.
The Henry Woman's Club met at Mrs Charles Vogelsang's home with President Mrs T L Jones in charge. Mrs George Halbleib presented a paper on the rural home as a training school for literary and industrial advancement, followed by club discussions and performances by Bessie Wykoff. Several members planned to attend the 16th District Federation in Pekin, while Emily Sparling was taken ill but improved at home.
