Chautauqua Circle Holds Meeting At Miss Motter Home
The Chautauquans met at Miss Stella Motter's residence on Saturday evening with strong attendance and a pleasing program. Eva Beattie presented a paper on the Southern Black Forest of Germany, describing scenery and legends, followed by Emma Panzer’s remarks on German Philistine traits and a Beattie piano solo. Dr DuFour discussed women in German life, noting historic figures and family roles, then Mr Keeler of Galesburg spoke on Berlin before refreshments and social time. The Circle will meet again Friday evening with Miss Tullis.
