Work to begin within days on a CCC camp at Riviera park with 250 enlisted men and officers. The site will include barracks and facilities for city-size operations, water and electric service planned, and erosion work to be conducted within 25 miles of the camp. Six Illinois graduates to receive degrees at Urbana Chicago events
The University of Illinois will hold its 64th commencement at Urbana Champaign on Monday June 10 with about 1600 degree recipients. Chicago colleges will have ceremonies Friday morning at the Civic Opera House. Marshall county will be represented by seven graduates across multiple fields. President Willard will deliver the Urbana Champaign address at 9 30 AM and the university radio WILL will air the program. Professor Roger Adams will speak for the Chicago departments.

Firemen to Play Woolen Mills Friday Night
Weather permitting the Henry Fire department and the Lacon Woolen Mills softball teams will play a game at Schoolhouse field Friday night. The Woolen Mills have a clever outfit and the Firemen have shown improvement since the season's start, making a good, interesting scrap expected. Bartonville inmate found after escape at Lacon
Peter Beckwith escaped from Bartonville state hospital was located by Marshall county authorities at Lacon yesterday. He was held for hospital attendants and returned to Bartonville Wednesday evening after two days missing. He had no knowledge of his origins or where he was headed.
