Katherine Kay, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs Murray Kofold, died early Tuesday morning Dec 14 at Spring Valley hospital. Born Sept 1 1948 the infant had a heart ailment since birth and pneumonia complications proved fatal. Brief services were held at the home this afternoon and at the Lostant Methodist Church. David Elmer Higgins of Grand Junction Colorado died suddenly Friday after asthma bronchitis and heart disease. He was a real estate dealer aged 72 and leaves a daughter Ruth and a wife who had died five years earlier. He was brother to Mrs G Holton and brother in law of Charles A Bourdette. Relatives could not travel for the funeral.

Mrs Peter Kirkpatrick Of Tiskilwa Dies In 81st Year
Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Flora Lawson Kirkpatrick 81 of Tiskilwa born near here June 15 1867. She lived on a farm south of Tiskilwa with husband until retiring in 1918 and was a member of the Tiskilwa Baptist Church and Mantown Household Science Club. Survived by son Arthur Kirkpatrick daughter Mrs Charles Kenney five grandchildren step son John H Kirkpatrick Princeton and step daughter Mrs Ina Lawson Tiskilwa. Her husband and one step-daughter preceded her in death.

Clyde Clampitt Found Guilty of Fraud by Hancock County Court
Thirty two plaintiffs from Warsaw and surrounding areas sued Clyde Clampitt in Carthage alleging fraud in down payments for tractors not delivered. Judge Roth found Clampitt guilty of fraud and deceit and entered judgments against him for the full deposits. Attorneys Black, Black & Borden of Peoria and Leon L.
