Henderson County weighs tighter rules for outdoor festivals
Henderson County planners propose land development code amendments to require security and medical plans, evacuation routes, site plans, and emergency coordination for large outdoor concerts and festivals with alcohol sales. The rules would cap events at three days, 50 feet from homes, and require county review, permits, and health and alcohol approvals. A county weather advisory accompanied the report noting a flash flood watch and potential rain through the week.
