Old SunTrust Bank site sold to State Employees Credit Union
The corner property at Asheville Highway and Haywood Road, once home to First Union and later SunTrust, has been sold to the State Employees Credit Union. The vault will be kept. an 8,500 square foot building will replace the old structure. Construction starts by year end. The new site will relocate the credit union’s Washington Street main office near the County Library.
