Marine recounts Vietnam era experiences and PTSD
Spehr details his wartime service from Dominican Republic evacuations to Huey medevac duty in Vietnam. He flew 350 missions earning 18 air medals, faced loss and trauma, later recognizing PTSD after a 1998 VA encounter. He now relies on family, VFW, and DAV, finding solace caring for deer with his wife Susan. He will join fellow veterans this weekend.
