Kiwanis tribute honors Chat Jones with 39 years of service
Kiwanis members mourn Chat Jones a devoted longtime participant who died at 63 from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning while working at his used car dealership. He led as president in 1987 and won Lay Leader of the Year in 2008, known for countless charitable efforts for children single mothers and teens. The club paid heartfelt tributes during a Thursday meeting and a lengthy visitation followed.
